My ecological awareness started from an energy perspective when I decided to study renewable energy. Being in this sector for about two years now, I realized that everything is more or less connected: energy, food, water and human. The natural resource cycle has been depleted continuously by only one constituent (human!) in the past few decades. This created complex global problems such as climate change, deforestation, droughts and world hunger. Many efforts addressing these problems are short-termed and only cure the symptoms rather than the disease. I wanted to be part of a more holistic solution, which investigates practical and long-lasting sustainable resource management; a solution that becomes a lifestyle that is proven healthy for both communities and the environment. That’s when I joined The Mitti Collective!
